The Trading Hut is operated by volunteers and is located just inside the entrance of the Bluebell North allotments, with limited parking available around the hut.

Hut Opening Times:

  • Saturday 2pm - 4pm
  • Sunday - 10am-12am
  • Thursday - 2pm-4pm
  • The hut stocks a wide range of Kings Seeds, seed potatos (at the start of the year), onions and shallot sets, organic manures and composts, commercial fertilizers, weed killers, bamboo canes as well as watering cans, pots, seed trays and new for this year, good quality metal hoops and clear plastic for making mini-polytunnels to any length.

    Every January, the seed potato and summer onion sets stock arrives and there is generally a mad rush to get in and get your chosen varieties before they sell out.

    BLUEBELL TRADING HUT POLICY 

    The Bluebell Trading Hut is a non-profit making organisation run by volunteers.  The objective is to obtain quality horticultural goods on behalf of members at lowest available cost. 

    • Goods are obtained at lowest available cost

    • Goods are offered to members with minimal mark-up to cover delivery and Trading Hut running costs.
    •  
    • The percentage mark-up is set by the committee on advice provided by the Trading Hut Secretary.
    •  
    • The costs of running the hut, repairs and volunteers travel expenses are met from the Trading Hut activities.
    •  
    • The Trading Hut is not run to make a profit.

    By law, the Trading Hut is not allowed to sell goods to non-members.
